Inking with a pointy stick
The title sounds daft, doesn’t it? It’s not though, as Matt Bernier will tell you.
Those of you who ink off the computer may like to take note.

Cool exercise- I’ll give them a try for fun. My inking tools of choice are the Hunt Hawkquill, EF Globe and #512 Extra-Fine. Most recently, Windsor Newton’s Scepter Gold brushes in 1,2 & 9 have been added to my arsenal.
I will use markers, specifically Faber Castell’s PITT artist pens when I’m doing sketches, or am in a rush-job situation where inking too fast with real ink could cause failure, damage and calamity. I scan the marker drawings and smooth them out with Adobe Illustrator’s vector tracing tool yielding a remarkably traditional brush/nib line quality(if tweaked properly).
